Ruemmler (Latham partner) represented Ariane de Rothschild's banking group. The relationship was brokered by Epstein. When he asked for the engagement letter, Ruemmler asked: "Do you mean the engagement letter between Latham and the bank?" Epstein replied: "Please send me the letter memorializing the long standing professional arrangement with Ariane and the group."
A convicted sex offender had access to the engagement letter between one of the world's largest law firms and one of Europe's oldest banking dynasties. He coached Ruemmler's conversations with Rothschild ("followed your script"). He warned her about Rothschild's personality. He forwarded Swiss banking regulatory documents between them.
